Academic Scholarships

Make a gift that will provide scholarship assistance to students in pursuit of their educational goals and dreams.

This fund has been established in memory of Jeff Braaten.

Jeff Sieg was a dedicated, passionate, and caring friend to those who were fortunate enough to know him. During his 30+ years in education he influenced hundreds of students by nurturing a passion for science, removing any fear of science, and encouraging them to become the best possible version of themselves. Jeff's Math & Science Department colleagues have established this endowment fund with the intent of offering a scholarship in perpetuity. Once established, the endowment will generate funding for an award to be given annually to an MSU science student.

Family members and friends are establishing the John Frappier Memorial Scholarship to honor the legacy of Mayville State alumnus and Distinguished Alumni Award recipient John Frappier, who passed away March 26, 2022.

Lisa (Karaim) Knudson was an accomplished triathlete. She died in a tragic accident on August 15, 2014, while she was doing what she loved, riding her bike near her home. At the time of her death, Lisa's husband, Ordean, and friends set up the Lisa Knudson Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit future Mayville State University students.

Music speaks a universal language and possesses a legacy that all can enjoy! Mayville State offers music participation opportunities in concert choir, concert band, and stage band for all students. Currently, all students who participate in music at Mayville State receive a scholarship. Your gift will help to support this wonderful opportunity for students who are in pursuit of their educational goals and dreams.
